Inside Our Bridal Veil Factory: How Every Lunalice Wedding Veil Is Made

When a bride walks down the aisle, her veil catches the light, floats with every step, and frames the moment she'll remember forever. But have you ever wondered how that veil came to life?

At Lunalice, we're not a reseller or a trading company — we are a direct bridal veil manufacturer. Every veil in our wedding veil collection is cut, stitched, beaded, inspected and packed under one roof. Today, we're opening our factory doors and walking you through the full journey of a handmade wedding veil, from raw tulle to the box on its way to your door.

Our wedding veil production workshop

1. It Starts with the Fabric: Premium Tulle, Lace & Beading

A veil is only as beautiful as the material it's made from. We source premium soft tulle, Chantilly lace, pearls and sequins that are skin-friendly, wrinkle-resistant and non-fading — so your veil photographs beautifully and survives being packed, shipped and stored before the big day.

Rolls of soft bridal tulle stored in our material area

Every roll of tulle and lace is checked on arrival before it enters our material area — color consistency, weight, stretch and hand-feel all have to pass before a single veil is cut from it.

Premium tulle and lace in detail

Our bridal illusion tulle drapes softly and naturally, while our lace appliqués — from delicate Chantilly to bold corded motifs — are hand-selected to pair with each veil silhouette. Whether you're dreaming of a fingertip veil or a dramatic cathedral veil, the fabric is where the magic begins.

2. Pattern Making & Precision Cutting: The Blueprint of Drape

Before a single stitch is sewn, our pattern team creates and refines the pattern for each veil style. An oval-cut blusher, a waterfall tier, a gathered mantilla — every silhouette demands its own precise template.

Pattern making for each veil silhouette

Then comes cutting. Unlike garments, veils have no seams to hide mistakes — the cut is the shape. In our dedicated cutting area, cutters lay the tulle flat, arrange every panel by hand, and cut in clean layers so the finished veil falls in a natural, soft drape with no pull, no distortion and no visible cut lines.

3. Hand Finishing: Where Skill Meets Patience

This is the heart of our factory — and the reason machine-only factories can't replicate what we do.

Hand beading and lace stitching in progress

Our seamstresses, many with over a decade of experience, handle every step of the finishing process:

· Hand beading — pearls, crystals and sequins are placed and secured one by one, so embellishments stay put through dancing, hugging and wind.

· Lace splicing — appliqués are hand-positioned along the veil's edge or scattered across the tulle for an organic, intentional look.

· Edge finishing — from raw-cut edges to delicate corded or lace trims, the hemline is finished to lay flat and symmetric.

· Hand gathering & pleating — the crown is gathered so the veil attaches neatly to the comb and fans out evenly when worn.

Hand finishing details of a bridal veil

It's slow work, and that's the point. Hand finishing is what makes a hand-beaded veil sparkle evenly, and what makes every plain wedding veil look couture rather than mass-produced.

4. Ironing & Finishing Touches

Once sewn, each veil is carefully steamed and pressed at low temperature to release any creases from the hoop and the sewing table — without stretching or scorching the delicate tulle. This step is what gives a Lunalice veil that fresh, floating look straight out of the package.

5. Strict Quality Control: Every Veil, Every Time

Before any veil is approved for packing, it goes through a 100% manual inspection. Our QC team checks each piece against its sample and spec sheet:

· Measurements and symmetry (length, width, blusher drop)

· Stitch quality and bead security

· Fabric flaws, snags, discoloration or shading

· Lace placement and edge alignment

Every veil is manually inspected against its sample

If a flaw is found, the veil goes back — not into a box. This is the same standard we apply to our custom veil orders, where we photograph and confirm every detail with the bride before shipping.

6. Packing & Global Shipping

Approved veils are folded with acid-free tissue, individually dust-proof packed, and boxed for worldwide delivery. Whether you're a bride in New York, a boutique in Sydney or a stylist in London, your veil arrives protected, pressed and photo-ready.
